Friday 12th July: Non uniform day
Pupils and staff raised £355 for the Emmaus Diocesan Partnership Group Environmental Project. This project aims to plant trees both in the UK and in partner schools in Africa to allow pupils a chance to make a difference in fighting climate change. Planting more trees is one of the simpler solutions in fighting climate change as trees absorb CO2.
Wednesday 17th July: Margaret and Teresa house day
Margaret and Teresa pupils donned their house colours and enjoyed a joint celebration of their houses. Pupils worked really hard to raise money and set up stalls including cake sales and shooting basketball. Mrs Becher and Mr Ford took a few for the team by taking part in sponge the teacher. Overall the houses raised £300 for The Soldiers Charity.
Staff at St Joseph’s have also been very busy this half term:
Mr Rooney and Mrs Maher took to the skies in support of Alabare, raising money for homeless and vulnerable veterans
The admin team and Mrs Prior took part in the Walk for Wards and raised money to help fund the wards at Salisbury hospital
Mr Gill, the school network manager, took part in a 300 mile bike ride from London to Paris to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society
