FOOD PREPARATION & NUTRITION

overview

Food Preparation & Nutrition nurtures pupils' understanding of food through cooking tasks and theory. Pupils in KS3 will learn a range of cookery and food skills, including knife skills, basic recipes, and the importance of balanced nutrition.

If pupils choose the subject at GCSE level, they will gain the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to open further opportunities in food, as well as health, food science and nutrition pathways.
