Last week, some pupils from our Chaplaincy team visited St Mark’s CofE Junior School to speak as part of their Interfaith Week.
The Chaplains in attendance put together a presentation in order to share some of the Catholic values of St Joseph’s with pupils from Year 5 at St Mark’s.
They talked about the Catholic faith, our school’s Tree of Values and what each of the core values mean, our House Saints (Margaret, Teresa, Vincent, and Francis), and shared prayers from each of them. They then worked with the Year 5 pupils to create their own posters about the values of peace, respect, and dignity.
Following their assembly and workshop, one pupil even said he can’t wait to come to St Joseph’s when he’s in Year 7!
Beatrix, Year 10, said, “It was so inspiring to teach people about what our faith means to us and to be able to share it with them.”
A huge well done to all of our Chaplaincy team who presented as part of the assembly, and thank you to St Mark’s for inviting us to be a part of your Interfaith Week!
