Today, the whole school together to say farewell to this year’s Year 11, who have officially finished for the summer.
After a long and hot exam season, today’s Year 11 leavers’ breakfast and assembly saw all of Year 11, their form tutors, and more come together to celebrate their time at St Joseph’s.
Head of Year Mrs Kenney’s emotional speech was followed by a whole range of staff-voted awards, including Best Role Model, Future Nobel Prize Winner, Future Headteacher, and audience favourites such as ‘Most likely to have their own reality show’, ‘Most likely to be TikTok famous by accident, and ‘Most likely to turn up with no pen, no book, no problem’.
Then, in St Joseph’s tradition, the whole school waited outside the hall to give them all a surprise procession to the front gates.
Thank you to Mrs Kenney for all of her work putting this morning’s celebration together. We’re incredibly proud of all of our Year 11s and we wish them the best of luck as they embark on their next steps!
