The Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub are offering a FREE, virtual post-16 World of Work Fest event to all young people in the area (aged 14+). This is an interactive event, giving you the chance to ask questions directly to our local employers and speakers, to help you in understanding what careers are available to you on your doorstep.
This is available during the school/college day from 11-2pm on Wednesday 7th July, or in the evening between 5-7pm. We welcome parents to sign up and access the event at a time convenient for them during these times.
Click here to register for the event.
Note: We will be encouraging our Year 9 teachers to access the event during lesson time on Wednesday. This is a great opportunity that we don’t want our pupils to miss!
About the event
This local event is to support from the Careers and Enterprise Company and the Swindon & Wiltshire Careers Hub, to help young people with information and resources to help them feel more confident in moving forward in their next steps and choices. It will give them an understanding of the local labour market and skills gaps with the town and country.
The event will run on an hour loop so students can watch it in different lessons, if they are not able to attend the early session there will also be a twilight session for students, parents and carers, 5pm-7pm. The broadcast will remain active for 12 months so can be accessed as an accessible resource for your ongoing careers programme.
