On Wednesday, we were filled with enormous pride as we opened up the school to prospective parents and carers for Open Morning and Open Evening. It’s always lovely to hear the positive affirmations that come from visitors to the school.

I hope that you all coped with the heatwave last weekend and are enjoying much more bearable temperatures at the moment! This week has been dominated by Year 11 mocks, and we have also been visiting many classrooms on learning walks.

I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to the families of our new Year 7 cohort, and welcome back all our families to the new school year. I hope that you had wonderful summers with your nearest and dearest and that everyone is refreshed and recharged ready to tackle the new academic year.

I really can’t believe that we are now in the final half term of the year!  Most years go by quickly, but this year seems to have flown by so far!  With us now entering the summer months, the weather (hopefully!) will remain bright and sunny.

Finally, a 5-day week! And what a bust 5 days it’s been, with the week dominated by GCSE exams. But don’t worry – we’ve got plenty of exciting things coming up, too!
