Happiest Minute of the Week: 23rd–27th January 2023

Published January 27, 2023

Every week, our staff send in their submissions for the Happiest Minute of the Week. These can be anything from a whole class behaving well, to the small and kind gestures that make someone’s day!

All of these Happiest Minutes are then presented to the whole school every Friday by Mr Bartel and Mr Ford (or pupils who volunteer to host!) in the weekly rewards raffle.

As part of our ethos here at St Joseph’s, we love to share kindness, gratitude and positivity. So without further ado, here are this week’s nominations for Happiest Minute of the Week!

Happiest Minutes of the Week

Mrs Hansford:

  • JB (10V) and JK (10F) for smashing their spelling test in English today and showing a level of maturity that can be a rarity in 10/4 English at times!
  • KR, FI, HZ (8M), BH and IB (8F) for working very hard in the Spanish lesson I covered today.
  • CR (9F), JK (9V), and ZA (8T) for smashing their spelling test too!

Miss Rooney:

  • BR (7T) – well done for exemplary behaviour when starting and ending his Geography lesson this week. Perfect!
  • AN (7T) – congratulations for your superb skills in justifying your choices in Geography.
  • JM (9F) – excellent focus and dedication to challenge yourself – well done!
  • TM (11V) – You are always so polite in form!

Mrs Barratt:

  • OW (7F) – Learning legend of 7C – great work on infinitives
  • RB (7T) – Giving the learning legend a run for their money – watch this space – great work with infinitives
  • AK (11T) – Great vocab recall as always
  • Mr Valjak and Mr Ollivierre – their positivity and calmness was much appreciated on Wednesday

Mr Ford:

  • HL (7V) who earned her form a non-uniform day this week thanks to her outstanding attendance and conduct last term – well done.

Mrs Fenwick:

  • Well done to AM (10V) for being the first person to secure a Work Experience placement and get her paperwork to me. Fantastic!

Mr Rooney:

  • Pretty much every person’s book I have looked at this week has been super well-presented and organised. Great pride being shown in your work! Keep it up St Jo’s!
  • Mr Ford & Mr Bartel for letting me raid their fridge for some chilled refreshments!

Mr Corson:

  • My HMOTW was observing how the Yr10 Drama students – EB, LR, GR, JM (10T), DC, MM, MS (10F), HC, and CW (10M) – engaged with the Creative Careers Workshops at the Salisbury Playhouse, with decorum, enthusiasm and skill well beyond their years. They served as true ambassadors to the school and the staff involved at the Theatre commented on how amazing they were! Well done all!

Mrs Jackson:

  • Delighted to see how enthusiastic AL (7F) is with measures in Maths – brilliant to see.
  • JH, LC (7M), and RR (7T) all scored above 95% in their maths test – very well done.
  • Really good to see the effort that JK (10F) and GR (10V) are both putting into their Maths lessons.
  • Very happy to see the progress made by 11Ma 1 in marking their recent mocks. Keep up the good work.
